This full-time Physician Assistant will provide orthopedic care in a dynamic clinical setting in June Lake, CA, collaborating with surgeons and a multidisciplinary team to treat a diverse patient population. The position offers the opportunity to practice in a premier mountain community while delivering high-quality, patient-centered orthopedic care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive orthopedic care in collaboration with surgeons and the healthcare team Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for orthopedic conditions and injuries Assist with management of patients undergoing total joint and knee procedures Evaluate and treat sports-related injuries, including skiing and snowboarding Participate in assessment and treatment of acute orthopedic injuries and musculoskeletal conditions Assist surgeons with surgical procedures and provide perioperative patient care Perform patient histories, physical examinations, and orthopedic assessments Order and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory tests within scope of practice Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and findings Provide preoperative and postoperative education and follow-up care Monitor patient recovery and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other professionals

Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program Current California Physician Assistant license DEA license BLS certification NCCPA certification (preferred or required per organizational standards) Demonstrated excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Preferred Skills:

Three or more years of orthopedic experience Experience in orthopedic surgery, total joint, knee, sports medicine, or musculoskeletal care Experience treating skiing, snowboarding, and other sports-related injuries Comfort working with an active, non-geriatric patient population
