May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description

Connecticut Orthopaedics has been named the #1 Physician Practice in Orthopaedics in Connecticut for two consecutive years. We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing Orthopedic Urgent Care team. In this role, you will help patients receive timely treatment for acute musculoskeletal injuries and orthopedic conditions, allowing them to get back to the activities they enjoy as quickly and safely as possible. As a key member of our orthopedic care team, you will evaluate and treat a wide variety of injuries and conditions, including fractures, sprains, strains, sports-related injuries, and other musculoskeletal concerns. You will work closely with orthopedic surgeons, radiology staff, and clinical support teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Competitive sign-on bonus available!
What You'll Do:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and other tests. Perform orthopedic procedures, including splinting, casting, injections, reducations, and application of DME Develop treatment plans and provide patient education on recovery and injury prevention. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and follow-up. Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation. Location & Schedule Branford, Wallingford, Hamden, Orange and Shelton Urgent Care offices Monday-Friday. One weekend shift per month with comp time given during the week. Flexible schedule available!
Experience/Educational requirements:
Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program Must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, orthopedic specific experience preferred What we offer: Competitive salary, 401(k) contributions, and company-paid life insurance.
