A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

401(k) Paid time off Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant / APRN to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care in an outpatient specialist office setting. Responsibilities Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions Prescribing medications, therapies and other treatments Managing general patient care Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays and lab work) Educating patients about healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention Counseling patients about their healthcare plan Holding specialty-specific responsibilities Taking medical histories Ordering and interpreting lab tests and diagnostic tests Performing physical exams Diagnosing and treating illness Educating patients about their treatment plan Follow up with patients Qualifications Valid Physician Assistant or APRN license with current certification to practice in the state of employment Proven experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks, is a plus. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes Excellent patient care skills with a focus on comprehensive assessment and treatment planning for diverse populations across inpatient and outpatient settings
