The ideal candidate will have experience in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency medicine, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care. As a Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. You will work closely with the supervising physician and other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan for each patient.
Responsibilities:
Conduct patient evaluations and assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, lab tests, and EKGs. Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses and injuries, such as infections, fractures, and lacerations. Prescribe and administer medications, as appropriate. Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures. Collaborate with the supervising physician and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and comprehensive care for patients. Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Current state license as a Physician Assistant Experience in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency medicine is preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed
MAIN HOURS / DAYS NEEDED - THURSDAY - SATURDAY ALL HOURS, MOSTLY 4P-12A. WEEKENDS MANDATORY
