Immediate Hiring | Physician Assistant (PA) We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive healthcare services in a correctional healthcare setting. Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions Provide ongoing care and treatment for incarcerated individuals with chronic illnesses Prescribe medications and monitor treatment outcomes within scope of practice Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, X-rays, EKGs, and other ancillary studies Coordinate referrals to outside specialists and healthcare facilities when necessary Provide post-hospitalization follow-up and continuity of care Participate in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) Monitor and manage patients in the infirmary and provide emergency care, including stabilization and splinting of injuries Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and external agencies, including OMH Monitor treatment in accordance with DOCCS infectious disease policies and maintain accurate clinical documentation Qualifications Active Physician Assistant (PA) License required Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills Experience in correctional health, primary care, emergency medicine, or internal medicine preferred Knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and chronic disease management is highly desirable Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills Interested candidates?
