A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and medical histories
- Evaluate and manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Perform hospital consultations and follow-up care
- Review diagnostic studies, laboratory results, and imaging reports
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate care with primary care providers and specialists

- Current or eligible Rhode Island PA licensure
- NCCPA certification required
- Previous Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, or related clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $115,000 to $130,000. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
