Opportunity:
Physician Assistant (PA) -
Hospitalist Job Details:
Locum APP Hospitalist position in a collaborative, physician-respected, community-based environment Shifts are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with in-person presence required in the unit/hospital during the shift No call coverage required 100% adult inpatient and observation population with 100% in-hospital admissions Average of 8 to 10 patients per day Respond to codes and rapid responses Ventilator management experience preferred Management of step-down level patients required Patient acuity includes observation/inpatient floor level of care and intermediate level of care Ability to manage stabilization of critically ill patients and arrange transport to tertiary care level EMR documentation via Cerner Community Works with AI scribe support Supportive nursing staff and collegial working relationship with ED team and surgeons Strong case management team to support discharge process Strong overnight hospitalist MD team support Acute Care APRN certification and all required Physician Assistant certifications required Vermont state license required or willingness to obtain 2 to 3 years of hospitalist or inpatient adult medicine experience preferred and required Clean background with no malpractice or license issues required Board certification required
