Job Description
HealthYes Staffing Network is recruiting a board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine Physician for a permanent, hospital-employed outpatient primary care opportunity in Southeast Alabama. The health system is considering Internal Medicine physicians for two primary care openings: one immediate vacancy and one that can accommodate a physician completing residency in 2027. This is a fully outpatient position with no inpatient responsibilities. The opportunity combines continuity-based adult medicine with a weekday schedule, advanced practice provider support, on-site diagnostics, and access to an established specialty network. Position Highlights Permanent, hospital-employed position Outpatient adult primary care No inpatient responsibilities Monday through Thursday daytime schedule Half-day schedule on Friday One immediate opening One opening that can accommodate a 2027 residency graduate Robust advanced practice provider support On-site laboratory and diagnostic services Epic electronic health record Established community patient population Access to a broad specialty referral network Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient care for adult patients Perform routine physical examinations and preventive screenings Diagnose and treat acute medical conditions Manage diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular risk, and other chronic illnesses Care for patients with multiple or medically complex conditions Develop individualized treatment and medication-management plans Review and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic results Coordinate care with specialists and advanced practice providers Educate patients on disease prevention and long-term health management Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Participate in applicable quality and patient-safety initiatives Qualifications MD or DO degree Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine Eligible for an unrestricted Alabama medical license Interest in continuity-based outpatient adult medicine Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Practicing physicians and 2027 residency graduates are encouraged to apply Independent authorization to work in the United States required Visa sponsorship is not available for this position Compensation and Benefits Estimated base salary of $295,000-$340,000 annually $100,000 signing bonus Student-loan repayment options Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligibility Paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage Health, disability, and life insurance Paid time off CME allowance and professional-dues support Paid candidate interview expenses The salary range above is a HealthYes market estimate based on comparable permanent Internal Medicine and primary care opportunities in Alabama.
