Job Description

HealthYes Staffing Network is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Physician for a permanent, full-time opportunity with an established regional healthcare organization in Southeast Alabama, near Southwest Georgia and the Florida Panhandle. This position combines outpatient pulmonology, inpatient pulmonary consultations, procedures, and critical care medicine. The physician will join a well-supported clinical environment with advanced pulmonary technology, dedicated ICU resources, extensive subspecialty coverage, and opportunities to work with residents and medical students. Experienced physicians and fellows completing Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine training in 2027 are encouraged to apply. Position Highlights Permanent, full-time Pulmonary Critical Care position Estimated annual compensation of $400,000-$500,000+ Productivity and performance incentive potential Signing bonus and relocation assistance available Balanced inpatient and outpatient practice Rotation among pulmonary clinic, ICU coverage, and inpatient consultations Advanced bronchoscopy and robotic bronchoscopy capabilities Dedicated intensive care resources Advanced practice provider and clinical support 24/7 respiratory therapy, anesthesia, and diagnostic imaging support Extensive medical, surgical, cardiovascular, neurological, and hospitalist support Academic interaction with residents and medical students Fellows completing training in 2027 are welcome Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients with pulmonary conditions Diagnose and manage COPD, asthma, pneumonia, respiratory failure, pulmonary hypertension, and other complex respiratory disorders Evaluate new patients and provide ongoing pulmonary follow-up care Manage critically ill adult patients during scheduled ICU rotations Provide ventilator management and other evidence-based critical care services Conduct inpatient pulmonary and critical care consultations Perform bronchoscopy and other pulmonary or critical care procedures within the physician's training and privileges Collaborate with hospitalists, surgeons, cardiologists, neurologists, respiratory therapists, and other specialists Coordinate transitions between intensive care, inpatient, and outpatient settings Participate in quality-improvement and patient-safety initiatives Maintain complete and timely clinical documentation Support medical education and mentorship when appropriate Clinical Environment The regional medical center provides a strong infrastructure for complex pulmonary and critical care medicine, including: Level II trauma capabilities Dedicated medical and neurocritical care resources Advanced bronchoscopy technology Bedside bronchoscopy capabilities Comprehensive stroke and neuroendovascular services Cardiothoracic, vascular, general, and specialty surgical support Advanced cardiovascular and interventional services Hospitalist coverage for admissions, transfers, and inpatient consultations Modern CT, MRI, PET, and interventional imaging resources Around-the-clock respiratory, anesthesia, and radiology support Qualifications MD or DO degree Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency Completion of an accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship by the anticipated start date Board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine Active Alabama medical license or eligibility to obtain one Appropriate federal and state prescribing credentials Competence in pulmonary and critical care procedures Strong communication, clinical judgment, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills Practicing physicians and 2027 fellowship graduates considered Visa sponsorship is not available for this position Compensation and Benefits The estimated annual compensation range is $400,000-$500,000+ , depending on experience, training, schedule, productivity, and call responsibilities.
