Category Laboratory - Pathologist Job Type Contract Bring your specialized expertise in pathology to a rewarding role supporting vital laboratory services within a healthcare facility. This contract position offers a collaborative environment where your analytical skills as a Pathologist will contribute to high-quality diagnostic standards.
Key Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), with board certification in Pathology Active, unrestricted medical license Proven experience in a clinical laboratory setting with strong diagnostic, analytical, and reporting skills Familiarity with current pathology methodologies, including gross and microscopic examination, and integration of laboratory findings into comprehensive reports Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Detail-oriented and committed to the highest standards of accuracy and patient care
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time hours; schedule details available during the interview process
Primary Responsibilities:
Examine, interpret, and diagnose a variety of tissue, cell, and body fluid samples using laboratory and pathological techniques Collaborate with laboratory staff and other medical professionals to ensure prompt, accurate diagnostic information Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuing education to maintain up-to-date proficiency with emerging tools and best practices Establish clear, concise records and reports in accordance with facility protocols and regulations Consult with referring physicians regarding test results and implications for patient care when needed Participate in facility meetings, case conferences, or multi-disciplinary discussions as required
