A contract position is available for Speech-Language Pathologists to provide vital services across several school sites in the area. Youll be working within a collaborative community of professionals, utilizing your SLP expertise to help children reach their full potential. The role begins August 4, 2026, and continues through May 27, 2027, with a typical weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
Requirements:
Current, valid SLP certification in Alabama SLP Educator certificate (verification available via the Alabama certification portal) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status Experience in a school-based setting preferred Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 60 students across preschool, elementary, middle, and high school levels Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Role Expectations:
Deliver speech-language therapy to students at multiple school sites, including preschools, primary, elementary, middle, and high schools Conduct speech/language screenings, assessments, and evaluations as needed Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Maintain thorough student records and progress reports in compliance with district and state requirements Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Participate in IEP meetings and case conferences Adapt services to meet the diverse needs of students across various locations This onsite-only contract offers the chance to work in a supportive environment, connect with talented colleagues, and make a significant difference in students lives.
