Consults with specialists regarding patient referrals; assists in providing adequate and appropriate medical information during the provision of specialist care; assist in securing ancillary services requested by consulting physician Acts as supervising physician for nurse practitioners or physician assistant. Physician is responsible for providing the necessary amount of oversight as required by the (applicable) State Board of Nursing and as required to satisfy the supervising physician's individual requirements. Consults with hospital physicians regarding a patient's hospital admission or ER evaluation. Maintains complete, timely and legible medical records Attends required meetings. Meets or exceeds productivity goals in regard to patient visits Participate in physician's QA program. Maintain patient confidentiality Requirements Must be able to work in a busy clinical setting.

Must be able to assess and respond to urgent issues in a competent manner.

Must maintain effective relationships and communication with the staff at all levels of the organization. Must be able to supervise Physician Assistants or NPs Good organizational skills are required. Professional attitude and adherence to office policies and procedures is required. Actively integrates deployed staff into the team concept. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to abide by policies Maintain regular attendance based on agreed-upon schedule Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers Other duties as assigned Education Candidate must have CA license and DEA Certificate without any restrictions Eligible for Medicare/Medi-Cal participation/BE in Family Medicine - preferred1-2 yrs. clinical experience preferred
