Job Description
Primary Care Sports Medicine Opportunity in Oakland, CA Leading the future of health care Kaiser Permanente / The Permanente Medical Group TPMG is seeking a full-time Sports Medicine physician to join our team in Oakland , CA. This is a 1.0 FTE position practicing full-scope sports medicine within a multi-specialty Orthopaedic department. Candidates will need completion of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Med/Peds, or PM&R residency and completion of an accredited Sports Medicine Fellowship. Proficiency in common point of care musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnostics and procedures is required. You will work alongside 3 other Sports Medicine physicians and in close collaboration with 3 Sports Surgeons. We are affiliated with a Family Medicine residency, University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Sports Medicine Fellowship, and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency as well as rotating medical student so there are ample teaching opportunities. No call required. There is opportunity to work in the community with local universities/ colleges, professional teams, and high school sports teams. Regionally The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG) has a robust sports medicine program consisting of over 100 sports medicine physicians and providing care to six professional sports teams as well as numerous universities, colleges, and high schools.
