Administrative Analyst (Recreation)

Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys improving processes and supporting meaningful public service work? Join our Recreation Department as an Administrative Analyst and play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly while helping deliver essential services to the community. In this role, you'll provide analytical, administrative, and project support that directly impacts departmental efficiency and service delivery. The ideal candidate is an organized, resourceful professional who takes initiative, exercises sound judgment, and follows projects through to completion. They can analyze program participation, revenues, and expenditures; translate findings into practical recommendations; and improve administrative processes across a busy recreation department. Desirable experience includes contract administration, purchasing, vendor coordination, records management, employee onboarding, and implementing new software or technology. The successful candidate will be comfortable leading projects such as registration software and website transitions while managing ongoing administrative responsibilities with accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication, collaboration, and customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to establish clear procedures, support staff through change, manage competing deadlines, and handle confidential information with discretion. Experience in local government, parks and recreation, or a similarly varied service organization is desirable.
What We're Looking For:
