Responsibilities include maintaining clinical skills, delivering direct patient services, supervising mid-level providers and trainees, participating in departmental meetings, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. Accurate and timely documentation and evidence-based practice are essential. Minimum qualifications include a current Iowa medical license, board certification in the specialty within five years or a fellowship waiver approved by relevant committees.
