Neonatology locums coverage is needed in Maryland with 24 hour call and daily rounding in a Level II NICU. You will cover well newborn and sick baby care, with delivery attendance for known high risk pregnancies. Highlights Level II NICU caring for infants 32 weeks and above 24 hour call shifts with a defined daily rounding window Active Maryland license preferred but not required; facility will wait for license Practice Setting Inpatient neonatal service, Level II NICU Patient mix includes well born and sick babies, including some newborn drug withdrawal Assist with deliveries for known high risk pregnancies No APP coverage available Schedule 24 hour call coverage Scheduled as 24 hour shifts, noon to noon Daily rounds typically 9am to 2pm depending on acuity Coverage need includes urgent blocks plus ongoing scheduling, 7 to 14 shifts per month Requirements Must be an MD or DO Board Certified in Neonatology BLS and DEA required If you can cover 24 hour call with daily rounding in a Level II NICU, reach out and we can compare your availability with the upcoming blocks and the 7 to 14 shifts per month need.
