Full-Time Vascular Surgeon Practice Setting:

Busy, well‑established Vascular Surgical practice with robust community demand Overview Our busy Surgical practice in beautiful Rockport, Maine is seeking a Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon to expand vascular services for our community. This role offers an exceptional balance of surgical and office‑based procedures, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to shape the future of vascular care delivery in the Midcoast region. We are looking for a skilled, collaborative, forward‑thinking vascular surgeon dedicated to providing high-quality vascular care in a patient-focused environment. This position offers the opportunity to practice a broad spectrum of routine vascular surgery with an emphasis on efficient, evidence-based care. The ideal candidate will enjoy practicing in a collaborative community setting, working closely with primary care providers, cardiologists, radiologists, wound care specialists, and hospital teams to deliver comprehensive vascular care, in collaboration with the Maine Medical Center Vascular Surgery Team.

This Position Offers:

Open Vascular Cases Carotid endarterectomies Femoral endarterectomies Lower extremity bypasses Acute limb ischemia procedures Arteriovenous fistulas (AVF) Axillo-bifemoral bypass aorto-bifemoral bypasses Amputations Endovascular Procedures Diagnostic angiography and peripheral interventions Fistulograms Mesenteric and renal interventions Office Based Procedures Venous interventions Wound care Complex Vascular Cases Complex open and endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repairs (e.g., EVAR, open AAA), medically complex patients, and more complicated lower extremity bypasses or revision procedures may be performed at Maine Medical Center , in collaboration with Portland vascular teams. Call & Coverage Structure Inpatient vascular needs covered by vascular surgery during daytime hours Overnight inpatient coverage to be provided by a team including the vascular surgeon, intensivist service, hospitalist service and general surgery service. Emergency Department call shared in a hybrid model with Portland vascular surgeons providing remote call support Outpatient Services Established IAC Accredited Vein Center and Vascular Lab continue to operate as they do today Opportunities to enhance outpatient vascular services through OBL-based procedures Mix of new consults, follow‑up care, and post‑operative management Qualifications MD or DO with board certification in Vascular Surgery Completion of an accredited Vascular Surgery fellowship Eligible for Maine medical licensure Strong clinical and procedural competency across open and endovascular vascular surgery Commitment to collaborative, patient‑centered care Why Rockport, Maine?
