Position:
Physicians Assistant- CertifiedNEW GRADS WELCOME
Hours:
32-38 hours. Full Time 4 or 5 days per week. One evening till 7pm.Location:
Crystal- Family Medicine/Primary Care At Northwest Family Clinics we take pride in our independent business model. The owners of our clinics are physicians. We work side by side with our dedicated staff to provide exceptional care to patients without the burden of heavy administrative overhead. We are independently owned and patient-focused with three clinic locations and over 100 healthcare providers, support staff and administrative professionals working as a team to deliver outstanding health care.Duties and Responsibilities :
- Conducts physical exams, taking medical history, image interpretation and patient evaluation/care.
- Consults with physician as needed and refers to physicians for more complicated.
- Orders diagnostic tests and scans and prescribes medications.
- Performs and documents history and physical examination based on age and history on complex and chronically-ill patients
- Updates and records changes in health status
- Formulates the appropriate differential diagnoses based on the history, physical exam, and clinical findings
- Formulates a plan of care to address complex, acute and chronic health care needs
- Synthesizes data from a variety of sources to make clinical judgments and decisions about appropriate recommendations and treatments
- Educates patients/families about self-management of acute/chronic illness with sensitivity to the patient's learning ability and cultural/ethnic background
- Employs appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and regimens with attention to safety, cost, invasiveness, simplicity, acceptability, adherence, and efficacy
- Promotes collaboration among members of the multidisciplinary health care team to facilitate optimal care for all patients
Job Qualifications :
- Qualified candidates must be MN licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of MN.
- 2-3 years of clinical experience preferred. Family Medicine Preceptor rotation required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, experience with electronic health records.
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
- Ability to travel between three sites locally if needed.
