Bring your pediatric expertise to a role that truly makes a difference—join us as an Outpatient Pediatric Physician (MD/DO) at Gallup Indian Medical Center (GIMC) in Gallup, New Mexico. In this position, you'll provide high-quality care to children and adolescents in an outpatient setting, all while enjoying a predictable Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays. GIMC is a vital part of the Navajo Area Indian Health Service (IHS), serving a culturally rich and vibrant community.   • Outpatient clinic schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • No weekends or holidays
  • Long-term contract with potential for extension

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and management of acute and chronic conditions
  • Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, and specialists to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Educate patients and families on preventative health, nutrition, and child development
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and care teams
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, care coordination, and community health efforts

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned by clinical leadership.

Requirements Required Qualifications:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric residency
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
  • Active, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory
  • Minimum 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in outpatient pediatric settings
  • Current certifications: BLS and PALS (ACLS and NRP preferred)
  • U.S. citizenship and current residence in the continental United States
  • Certification of education (copy of diploma or transcripts required)
  • Current DEA license and eligibility to prescribe medications
  • Strong pediatric diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems (RPMS preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Willingness to comply with all federal and state medical practice regulations
  • Adaptability to a flexible and dynamic work environment
