Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physician Associate, a vital role dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. We are a primary care clinic in Stayton, we are a Tier 5 PCPCH and the 1st primary care clinic in Oregon to get the Health Equity Designation! As a key member of the clinical team, you will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and ensure optimal patient outcomes. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your clinical expertise, expand your skills, and make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through energetic and compassionate care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and vital signs documentation using electronic health record (EHR) system Athena. Document all clinical encounters accurately in medical records while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and ICD/CPT coding standards. Requirements Valid certification as a Physician Associate or equivalent credential with active state licensure. Proven experience working in hospital or clinic environments with familiarity in inpatient and outpatient care settings. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and clinical procedures across multiple specialties including cardiology, neurology, psychiatry, endocrinology, and pediatrics. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Athena or similar platforms; proficiency in medical records management. Excellent communication skills for effective patient assessment and interdisciplinary collaboration; commitment to patient service excellence. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are advantageous.
