Job Description
Job Summary Geisinger is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Radiologist to join Geisinger Lewistown Hospital in central Pennsylvania. This is a 100% IR opportunity with no diagnostic radiology responsibilities, no after-hours call, and a predictable 7-on/7-off schedule. The role offers the autonomy to help grow a community-based IR practice while remaining connected to the resources, stability, and clinical support of Geisinger's systemwide radiology program. Job Duties 100% Interventional Radiology practice No diagnostic radiology responsibilities No after-hours call 7-on/7-off schedule, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM Eastern Hospital-employed position with systemwide IR support Current volume of approximately 5-6 procedures per day, with planned growth as access and services expand Case mix of approximately 60% outpatient and 40% inpatient On-site APP, experienced technologists, and dedicated nursing support Position Details Clinical Scope This position offers a broad IR practice with a consistent referral base and room for continued growth. Procedures include ablation, TIPS, DVT thrombectomy, biliary and GU interventions, dialysis access and fistula work, venous and arterial procedures, and other image-guided interventions. The IR suite includes fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, and cone-beam imaging to support a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
