Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Job Summary:
Medical City Children's Hospital seeks a Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to join its growing cardiac critical care team of eleven physicians and eight nurse practitioners. The successful candidate will join a team that provides 24/7 in-house comprehensive care for critically ill neonates, infants, children, and adult congenital cardiac patients in a high-acuity CICU environment while contributing to program development, quality improvement, education, and clinical innovation.
Qualified Candidates:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Unrestricted Texas medical license Board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology and/or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Completion of advanced training in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care, or dual training in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Demonstrated commitment to excellence in cardiac critical care delivery, multidisciplinary collaboration, and program growth with interest in clinical research, outcomes research, quality improvement, and/or education 3+ years of post-training experience, although exceptional early-career candidates will be considered
Program Highlights:
250+ congenital cardiac surgical cases annually (pediatric/adult) Dedicated pediatric interventional catheterization (300+ cases annually), electrophysiology, advanced imaging and ECMO programs Maternal Fetal Institute (MFI) and fetal intervention/surgery capabilities Growing Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) program
