Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting high school students by utilizing your expertise as a School Psychologist in a flexible contract role. This opportunity near New Haven, CT, allows you to work collaboratively within an educational setting for the 2026/2027 academic year. Hours are part-time, with options for either 25 or 30 hours per week, making this an excellent position for professionals seeking balance and meaningful clinical engagement. What you'll bring: Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (Connecticut credentials preferred) Experience providing psychological services at the high school level Strong skills in student assessment and evaluation practices Proficiency in individual and group counseling with adolescents Commitment to fostering safe, supportive, and inclusive school environments Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative, team-focused approach Key responsibilities: Complete approximately 25 educational evaluations per year in accordance with district guidelines Provide counseling services to students—supporting emotional, behavioral, and academic growth Develop and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as part of a multidisciplinary team Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success and well-being Document case notes and progress, ensuring compliance with all required regulations Participate in school-wide initiatives promoting mental health and positive student outcomes This contract position offers the flexibility of part-time hours, giving you the ability to balance work with other personal or professional commitments.
