Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an engaging contract opportunity serving elementary and secondary students for the 2025/2026 academic year as a School Psychologist. Based near New Haven, CT, this role begins August 25, 2025, and runs through June 11, 2026. Working a consistent weekday schedule of 8:30am to 3:30pm and totaling 37.5 hours per week, you'll provide expert psychological services and support teams dedicated to student growth.

Background and qualifications sought:

Valid CT 070 School Psychologist License (required) Proven experience with K-12 population Strong knowledge of psychological evaluations, re-evaluations, and behavioral assessments Skilled in report writing and direct counseling with students Ability to collaborate effectively with PPT teams Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Familiarity with state and federal education guidelines Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive school climate Key responsibilities for this role include: Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations Preparing detailed reports that inform interventions and support plans Delivering short-term counseling and support to students Liaising with the PPT (Planning and Placement Team) to develop individualized education plans Offering consultation to educators, staff, and families on student needs Promoting a supportive environment for diverse learners Monitoring student progress and documenting outcomes Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and ongoing trainings This contract assignment allows passionate school psychologists to make a measurable difference while working a balanced school-day schedule in a collaborative environment.
