Key Qualifications:
Valid Connecticut certification as a School Psychologist (070) Direct experience in school-based settings, especially with elementary-aged students Proven ability to assess the clinical needs of students with social, emotional, and behavioral concerns Strong communication skills and understanding of assessment tools and therapeutic practices Organized, adaptable, and comfortable facilitating multidisciplinary team meetingsEssential Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and observations as required to identify student support needs Develop and implement therapeutic interventions for both individuals and small groups Support students by addressing barriers to learning stemming from social, emotional, or behavioral challenges Actively participate in and facilitate all PPT (Planning and Placement Team) meetings Coordinate and lead 504 meetings to ensure appropriate accommodations are discussed and implemented Collaborate closely with educators, families, and specialists to promote student well-being Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines This contract role offers a chance to make a difference in students' lives by providing essential psychological services during a critical time.
