Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact working with students, families, and educators, utilizing your specialized expertise as a School Psychologist in a contract position located near Elgin, IL. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with supportive staff, provide direct services, and foster growth within a dynamic school environment.
Key Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid state licensure/certification as a School Psychologist Previous experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills Knowledge of special education laws and processes Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal abilitiesPrimary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments for referred students Interpret assessment data and share findings with multidisciplinary teams Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop interventions and support plans Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expert insight Provide crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, and behavioral support as needed Support positive school climate initiatives and prevention programs Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with district and legal standardsBenefits & Perks:
