Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting Pre-K students as a School Psychologist dedicated to early intervention and transition services. This contract position is scheduled from August 14, 2026, through June 4, 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners and their families. Youll play a vital role working primarily on-site with Pre-K students, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary staff such as occupational and physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, autism consultants, nurses, and more. The focus is on providing First Step Transition behavioral intervention services, supporting social-emotional development, and fostering positive classroom behaviors that build a solid foundation for future academic success.

Key Qualifications:

Credentialed and eligible to practice as a School Psychologist. Experience in early childhood or Pre-K settings preferred. Strong understanding of behavioral intervention strategies, especially for early learners. Skilled in progress monitoring, teacher consultation, and family engagement. Comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive evaluations. Committed to supporting students with unique needs in a special education preschool environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Implement and manage the First Step Transition program, providing behavioral coaching and early intervention for Pre-K students. Collaborate with teachers and caregivers to support school readiness and positive transitions. Monitor student progress, deliver behavioral consultations, and provide feedback to families. Participate in two-day student evaluations with a full assessment team. Manage a caseload of approximately 70 students, including conducting preschool evaluations and transition activities.
