Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a dedicated school psychologist to make a meaningful impact at a vibrant elementary school located near Cambridge, MA. This full-time, contract position is focused on supporting students in their growth and development during a leave of absence coverage. As a 1.0 FTE school psychologist, you'll play a key role in meeting students' needs by conducting comprehensive special education evaluations and delivering school counseling services. Your expertise will help foster a safe, supportive learning environment for young learners and make a real difference in their educational experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid state licensure as a school psychologist Prior experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred Expertise in conducting special education assessments and evaluations Strong counseling, consultation, and communication skills Capable of maintaining confidentiality and professionalism Able to work on-site, providing in-person services
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and interpret a variety of psychological assessments for special education eligibility Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student learning and behavioral needs Provide direct counseling services, both individual and group, as required Develop intervention and educational plans tailored to diverse student needs Support the Response to Intervention (RTI) process and participate in IEP meetings Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive school climate This is an excellent opportunity to step into a rewarding role, where your contributions will be valued and your professional skills will help enrich the school community.
