Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including diagnostic testing, behavioral assessments, social-emotional student assessments, and special education assessments to determine student needs. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioral health plans. Manage crisis situations through crisis intervention strategies and safety planning to ensure student well-being. Assist in early intervention efforts by conducting intake assessments and developing appropriate support plans for students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges. Support teachers in implementing behavior management techniques and social skills training tailored for students with disabilities or developmental delays. Maintain accurate medical documentation, psychological testing results, case notes, and records in compliance with school policies and legal requirements such as special education law. Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution. Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist. Proven experience working with children and adolescents in educational or clinical settings. Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, psychological testing methods, and behavioral health practices. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and other special needs populations. Skilled in crisis management, conflict resolution, case management, and family collaboration in education contexts.
