Job Description

This contract opportunity invites experienced School Psychologists to contribute valuable expertise in evaluation, intervention, and consultation. Full-time schedules are preferred, though part-time options can be discussed for those seeking flexibility. Start as soon as possible and continue through the close of the 2026-27 school year. Your role addresses the needs of students ages 321, offering variety and professional growth. Assignments may adapt according to school or program needs, asking you to blend your skills across several domains in student support and advocacy.
Qualifications:
Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution. Active Rhode Island School Psychologist certification (RIDE 5403). Experience in conducting student evaluations and eligibility determinations. Ability to provide counseling, behavioral support, and crisis intervention. Effective in collaborating with educators, families, administrators, and related service teams. Strong skills in data collection, progress monitoring, and intervention planning.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations. Lead and assist with IEP development, eligibility assessments, and student plans. Deliver consultation, counseling, and direct behavioral supports. Collaborate across teams to create supportive learning environments. Engage with families to share resources and facilitate student progress. Participate in crisis response and intervention planning as needed.
