GENERAL SUMMARY
Under general supervision administers radiation treatments to patients, as prescribed by the physician, utilizing specialized equipment including
  • Linear accelerator,
  • High Dose Rate (HDR) After loader,
  • Computed Tomography.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED
A.R.R.T. Radiation Therapy Technology Certification or registry eligible Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS' Customer Service Policy
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures. Lifting of patients, moving & pushing wheelchairs / stretchers and lifting of equipment, above head, up to 50lbs. Potential exposure to radiation; however, adherence to safety procedures minimizes likelihood of danger. Frequent interaction with emotionally depressed and terminally/critically ill patients.
