Qualifications & Experience:
Current certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT). Active state licensure or eligibility as required. Previous experience in a clinical Radiation Therapy setting highly preferred. Strong understanding of radiation safety standards and treatment protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction. Ability to operate sophisticated radiation therapy equipment with precision. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments according to physician orders. Prepare and position patients for accurate and safe therapy delivery. Monitor equipment and maintain detailed, accurate treatment records. Educate patients and their families on procedures, potential side effects, and post-treatment care. Collaborate closely with oncologists, dosimetrists, and other multidisciplinary team members. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients throughout their treatment.
