Job Description

Category Imaging - MRI Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal position supporting patient care with advanced MRI imaging expertise. As a valued technologist in a large, dynamic hospital environment, you'll work as part of a dedicated team committed to high standards in diagnostic imaging. This contract opportunity offers both inpatient and outpatient exposure, serving primarily adults and occasionally pediatric patients within a busy radiology department.
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week
Hours:
11:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Minimum 1 year of strong MRI experience required Must hold ARRT certification; ARRT (R)-MR or ARMRIT preferred BLS certification required State license preferred Previous experience with Siemens Espree 1.5T MRI equipment strongly preferred Comfort working with Cerner EMR Detail-oriented, safety-minded, and able to float within the radiology department as needed Both experienced candidates and first-time travelers with at least 2 years of MRI-specific experience are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of MRI procedures (Head/Neck, Abdomen, Pelvis, Spine, Extremities, MRAs) Operate MRI equipment efficiently and safely, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient comfort Collaborate with colleagues, including CT technologists and radiologic assistants, on each shift Manage a patient ratio of 1:1, averaging 4 patients per hour/40 patients per day Assist with both adult and pediatric cases, communicating effectively with patients and care teams Flexibly float to different areas of the radiology department within the hospital as needed Embrace the chance to broaden your skill set and contribute to comprehensive patient care at a progressive healthcare facility.
