Job Description

Category Imaging - MRI Job Type Contract Experienced MRI technologists are sought for a contract opportunity in a dynamic, high-volume care environment. This role features 10-hour shifts, four days per week (11:00 AM - 9:30 PM), making it an ideal fit for those who appreciate longer stretches of focused clinical time and a consistent weekly routine. As part of a robust imaging department in a 492-bed facility featuring a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center, you'll use advanced Siemens Espree 1.5T technology while performing a variety of MR procedures for both adult and occasional pediatric populations (inpatients, outpatients, and ED). The patient load averages 4 exams per hour, and you'll always have support from two CT techs and an assistant on every shift.
Qualifications:
Active ARRT certification required ARRT (R)-MR or ARMRIT required for MRI Tech; State license preferred BLS certification required Minimum one year of strong MRI experience, or two years for first-time travelers Experience using Cerner EMR and Siemens MRI equipment preferred Must provide your own imaging markers Comfortable working independently with a patient ratio of 1:1 and daily volume averaging 40 patients Willingness to float within the Radiology department as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform MR procedures (head/neck, abdomen, pelvis, spine, extremities, MRAs) with skill and efficiency Support a broad patient mix ranging from adult inpatients to pediatric outpatients and ED cases Maintain accurate EMR documentation using Cerner Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, adapting across radiology sub-areas as required Uphold established hospital protocols and prioritize patient safety This contract assignment offers valuable experience in an innovative hospital setting with significant patient impact.
