CT Scan Radiology Hoag Health System - 4.0 Newport Beach, CA Job Details Full-time 2 hours ago Qualifications BLS Certification High school diploma or GED Full Job Description The Imaging Assistant works with and provides assistance to Imaging departments and may also be required to rotate to campus adjacent imaging centers as needed to support patient care. This role facilitates patient flow, patient transport, serves as a central point of communication, and remains with patients while awaiting their procedures as needed. The Imaging Assistant is a versatile role that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize requests as appropriate in support of the patient care experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ongoing telephone communications between departments Assisting with prioritizing daily patient schedules Coordinating throughput in procedure room as directed May retrieve lab results in certain locations and departments Coordinating turnover of exam rooms and preparing for the next procedure Maintaining supplies for the modalities. Performs other duties as assigned

CT Scan Newport Beach Only:

The Imaging Assistant may perform iSTAT blood creatinine test with additional competencies and report result to technologist/radiologist for review. Restricted to performing tests on previously obtained, accurately labeled specimens

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent Previous experience and prior knowledge of imaging procedures and operations preferred. Skills and knowledge of equipment related to the procedural environment. Certifications Required American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
