Piedmont Healthcare seeks a skilled Mammo Tech to provide high-quality mammography services on a PRN basis. In this role, you will perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, ensuring accurate imaging, patient safety, and compassionate care. You will prepare and position patients, operate digital imaging equipment, follow radiation safety and infection control standards, and accurately document procedures in EMR systems. Responsibilities Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms according to established protocols Position and prepare patients, providing clear instructions and compassionate support Operate and maintain digital mammography and imaging equipment Ensure radiation safety and adherence to ALARA and regulatory standards Assess image quality and collaborate with radiologists for accurate interpretation Document procedures and patient information accurately in EMR and PACS systems Follow infection control, privacy, and safety policies at all times Coordinate with nurses, technologists, and providers to support patient-centered care Participate in quality control, accreditation, and equipment performance checks Adapt to PRN scheduling needs, including varied shifts based on department demand Required Skills Mammography imaging Digital imaging systems (PACS/RIS) Patient positioning and comfort Radiation safety and ALARA principles Quality control and image assessment Breast anatomy and pathology knowledge Electronic medical records documentation Infection control procedures Equipment operation and troubleshooting Adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards
