Gateway Regional Medical Center is looking for a Radiology Technologist to join our Radiology team. You'll operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality radiographic images, working with a good degree of independence while contributing to accurate diagnoses across the hospital. With a predictable Monday-Friday day shift, this role offers strong work-life balance alongside meaningful clinical work. This is a great fit for a tech who's comfortable problem-solving independently and wants steady hours without sacrificing variety in patient care. What You'll Do Operate radiographic equipment in accordance with department protocols Administer radiopaque contrast material for enhanced exams under radiologist supervision Maintain a safe environment using proper protective devices and practices Stay attentive to patient needs throughout exams, taking appropriate action as needed Solve problems independently with limited supervision What You Bring Graduate of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program ARRT registration Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) Licensure by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Previous experience preferred Why Gateway Regional Competitive pay: $29.99-44.98/hr, based on experience and qualifications Employer-matched retirement savings plan A supportive, inclusive work environment We're a community hospital with a mission that goes beyond the job description: compassionate, personalized care, delivered by people who genuinely want to be here.
