Job Description
Mammography Technologist (PRN) Job Description Overview Responsible for the day-to-day functions in the Mammography area in a PRN role under the direction of the clinic administrator. Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures, as requested by a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. Is multi-skilled in the area of mammography including biopsies and other breast procedures. Will also perform Bone Density procedures. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. T his position will work Mondays from 8am - 4:30pm with other possible shifts if needed. Hourly rate is entirely based on experience. Responsibilities Skills to promote teamwork among the staff. Produces high quality diagnostic radiographs; assists practitioner with percutaneous localizations, biopsies and aspirations of the breast; optimizes mammography procedures by completing QA-QC protocols. Knowledge of all ACR and MQSA standards.
