Job Description

The Breast Center of Valley Regional Imaging is seeking a patient-focused Mammography Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team in Fayetteville, NC. In this role, you will perform high-quality mammography examinations and related procedures, support accurate diagnosis, and help each patient feel informed and comfortable throughout their visit. You will work alongside a collaborative team committed to safe, efficient, and compassionate care. Qualifications Associate degree in radiography or graduation from an accredited two-year radiography program Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (RT) and Mammography (M). Current BCLS certification. Maintenance of continuing education credits required by ARRT Role Overview Perform digital mammography examinations and related procedures that support physicians in formulating medical diagnoses. Deliver accurate imaging while following all applicable safety, quality, equipment, and regulatory requirements. Essential Responsibilities Perform digital mammography and 3D examinations using proper positioning and established protocols to obtain diagnostic-quality images. Provide compassionate, patient-centered care by explaining procedures, responding to questions, and supporting patient comfort throughout each visit. Operate mammography equipment Maintain concise, thorough, and accurate clinical documentation. Communicate regularly with technologists, schedulers, referring physicians, other departments, and management to resolve issues and implement protocol changes. Use sound judgment, work independently, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced clinical environment. Contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment and consistently support operational excellence and quality of care.
