Overview We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technician to join our healthcare team dedicated to providing exceptional diagnostic imaging services. The MRI Technician will operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to produce detailed images of patients' internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. This role requires a thorough understanding of medical imaging, patient safety protocols, and advanced technical skills to ensure high-quality imaging outcomes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care within a safe and efficient environment. Duties Operate MRI scanners with precision, ensuring optimal image quality for diagnostic evaluation. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them appropriately. Perform advanced imaging techniques, including computed tomography (CT), DEXA scans, sonography, and vascular access procedures when necessary. Maintain strict adherence to equipment safety procedures and aseptic techniques to ensure patient and staff safety. Assist with image acquisition for various diagnostic purposes, including radiology and physiology assessments. Utilize Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) to store, retrieve, and manage medical images securely. Monitor patients throughout procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort while adhering to patient safety regulations. Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to interpret images accurately and facilitate diagnostic evaluation. Keep detailed records of procedures performed, equipment maintenance, and safety checks. Stay current with advancements in MRI technology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology practices. Experience Proven experience operating MRI scanners in a clinical setting is essential. Knowledge of other imaging modalities such as
CT, DEXA
scans, sonography, and vascular access techniques is highly desirable. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology. Familiarity with medical equipment operation, safety procedures, and image quality optimization. Certification or licensure in radiologic technology or related field is required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory. Experience performing IV insertions and maintaining aseptic technique is preferred. Demonstrated ability to prioritize patient care while adhering to safety regulations in a fast-paced environment.
