Job Description

Role Overview:
The Radiology Technologist provides high-quality imaging services following physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include preparing radiology rooms, operating and maintaining diagnostic equipment, developing images, and adhering to safety protocols. They evaluate image quality, educate patients across all age groups, and document information accurately in electronic medical records. The role involves maintaining radiation safety, performing quality assurance activities, and supporting patient care with professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general and specialty radiographic procedures using clinical protocols. Position patients appropriately, ensuring comfort and optimal imaging results. Evaluate images for technical quality and proper identification. Educate patients about procedures and address their concerns. Input accurate patient data into electronic records and follow safety and infection control policies. Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring safety standards and radiation protection. Assist in training new staff and supporting workflow efficiency. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, physicians, and patients, demonstrating excellent customer service and professionalism.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program. Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and BLS certification required. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Knowledge of radiation safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality.
Preferred:
One year of diagnostic imaging experience.
