Group FacilitatorOverview Lotus Recovery Services, a mental health and substance abuse treatment facility, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Facilitator to lead therapeutic group sessions for diverse populations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counseling and therapy, with the ability to create a supportive environment that fosters healing and personal growth. This role is essential in providing guidance and support to individuals facing a range of challenges, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance use, and other co-occurring disorders. Facilitators with an associate's or master's-level degree and/or substance use disorder certifications (CADC/SUDCC) are encouraged to apply.

Compensation:

Group rate starts at $100 per hour, based on experience and credentialing.

Schedule:

Each Group Facilitator is expected to conduct 3-4 groups per week. Duties Conducts group counseling sessions tailored to participants' needs Utilizes therapeutic techniques, including art therapy and behavioral therapy, to engage participants effectively Facilitates discussions that encourage participation, sharing, and mutual support among group members Maintains accurate records of sessions, participant progress, and relevant observations Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for participants Stays informed on current best practices in therapy and counseling to enhance group effectiveness Skills Proficiency in group counseling techniques Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for documentation purposes Experience in therapy modalities including behavioral therapy, CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and other evidence-based practices Knowledge of EMR systems; experience with KIPU is a plus Knowledge of proper documentation practices to ensure compliance with managed-care requirements (health insurance carriers, DHCS) Ability to work effectively in group settings while maintaining adherence to session topics Experience providing care for individuals with mental health and other co-occurring disorders Strong communication skills to facilitate discussions and build rapport with participants Compassionate approach with a commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all group members This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others through effective group facilitation and therapeutic support.
