Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Life Enrichment Coordinator to lead our Memory Care residents' recreational and social programs. In this vital role, you will design, coordinate, and implement a variety of engaging activities tailored to residents' interests and needs, with a special focus on memory care, dementia care, and assisted living. Your enthusiasm will inspire residents to participate actively, promoting well-being, independence, and joy every day. Responsibilities Develop and execute creative activity programs that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity for residents across all levels of care. Plan and organize special events, outings, and recreational therapies that foster community engagement. Collaborate with nursing staff, caregivers, and family members to assess individual resident needs and preferences. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed during programming sessions. Manage scheduling of activities to ensure consistent participation while accommodating residents' routines. Provide counseling on aging issues by offering emotional support and facilitating social work interventions when appropriate. Maintain detailed records of resident participation, progress, and feedback to continually improve program offerings. Skills Proven experience in event planning within assisted living or nursing home settings. Strong background in recreational therapy, senior care, or working with individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and dementia-specific programming. Excellent communication skills to engage residents effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to manage schedules efficiently while adapting to changing resident needs. Compassionate caregiving skills with a focus on aging issues counseling and social work principles. Pay:
$16.75 - $20.00 per hour
