Activities Director Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Activities Director to oversee and coordinate social activities for residents. The ideal candidate will work closely with residents. This role requires experience in senior living environments, particularly with long-term care settings, and a passion for creating vibrant community experiences. The Activities Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of resident-centered events that promote socialization, wellness, and overall well-being. Responsibilities Develop, coordinate, and implement a diverse calendar of activities and events tailored to residents' interests and abilities. Work directly with seniors to understand their preferences and needs, ensuring activities are engaging and inclusive. Collaborate with staff members to integrate activities into residents' daily routines and care plans. Lead the setup and facilitation of resident events, including social gatherings, educational programs, recreational outings, and special celebrations. Monitor participation levels and gather feedback to continually improve activity offerings. Maintain an organized activity schedule and ensure all materials and resources are prepared in advance. Foster a positive, welcoming environment that encourages social interaction among residents. Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and facility policies. Requirements Proven experience working with seniors in a senior living or long-term care setting. Strong background in coordinating resident events within senior living facilities. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect compassionately with residents of varying abilities. Creativity in designing engaging activities that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and physical wellness. Ability to work collaboratively with staff members across departments. Organizational skills to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of safety protocols relevant to activity planning in healthcare or senior living environments. Pay:
