Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Psych Job Type Contract Deliver high-quality patient care in a specialized behavioral health setting, providing expert nursing support to geriatric psychiatric patients. As a Registered Nurse focused on psychiatric care, you'll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient treatments, monitor wellbeing, and foster an environment suited for healing and safety.

PM shift
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current RN license in good standing Proven experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing, especially with geriatric populations Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to respond effectively in crisis situations Previous experience with Geri Psych preferred Excellent interpersonal communication and de-escalation abilities Commitment to evidence-based practices and compassionate patient care
Responsibilities:
Conduct mental health assessments and complete nursing documentation per regulatory standards Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans focused on the psychiatric needs of older adults Administer medications and monitor effects, observing and reporting behavioral changes Support patients through crises with a therapeutic and safety-conscious approach Educate patients and families on treatment plans, therapeutic interventions, and medication management Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and mental health professionals for comprehensive care planning Adhere to established protocols and promote a patient-centered atmosphere
