Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Step into a specialized nursing role where your expertise in the Operating Room is highly valued. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses (RN) who are passionate about perioperative care and thrive in fast-paced surgical environments. You'll work collaboratively alongside skilled surgical teams, supporting positive patient outcomes before, during, and after procedures.
Key Qualifications:
Current and unencumbered RN license Minimum of one year experience as an RN in an Operating Room setting Proficient in circulating and/or scrubbing in a variety of surgical procedures Strong critical thinking and communication skills Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Schedule/Hours:
Flexible contract shifts based on facility needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare Operating Room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment for each case Provide direct and specialized nursing care to patients during surgical procedures Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Monitor patient status and anticipate the needs of surgeons and the team throughout procedures Document all patient care activities and surgical events in accordance with facility policies Advocate for the safety and well-being of patients at every stage of the perioperative experience
