Full-Time About First Care Hospice First Care Hospice is a well established hospice agency dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care to patients and families throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. We are seeking an experienced Hospice Marketing Liaison to grow and strengthen our referral relationships across our service area. Position Summary First Care Hospice is looking for an experienced hospice marketer to represent our agency to referral sources throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. This role is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, case managers, and other healthcare partners to drive census growth and community awareness of our hospice services. This is a hospice-specific role. Candidates without direct hospice marketing/liaison experience will not be considered. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a territory marketing plan covering Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing referral sources, including physicians, hospitals, SNFs, ALFs, case managers, and discharge planners Actively grow census through consistent, professional outreach and education on hospice services Serve as a knowledgeable resource on hospice eligibility, benefits, and the referral process for healthcare partners and families Represent First Care Hospice at community events, health fairs, and provider meetings Track referral activity, outcomes, and territory performance; report regularly to leadership Collaborate closely with intake, clinical, and admissions teams to ensure smooth patient transitions Stay current on hospice regulations, market trends, and competitor activity in the region Required Qualifications Proven track record in hospice marketing/liaison work — this is essential, not preferred Established, current book of business with referral sources in Ventura and/or Santa Barbara Counties Deep understanding of hospice eligibility, the referral process, and the healthcare continuum Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills Self-motivated, goal-driven, and comfortable managing an independent territory Valid CA driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent hospice industry experience will be considered What We Offer Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives Mileage reimbursement Health benefits PTO and paid holidays Supportive, mission-driven team culture
