Required Current BLS certification, recertified every two years: Required Key Responsibilities Performs an appropriate and complete assessment for each patient assigned, utilizing techniques specific to the patient's age, growth, and developmental status. Develops an individual plan of care specific to each patient and documents assessments, interventions, and patient response in the clinical record. Administers and controls narcotics and medications, and administers IV fluids according to policy and procedure. Communicates effectively with all members of the patient care team, including patients, family, and physicians. Provides and documents appropriate patient and family education.
