1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Infusion RN for an outpatient oncology infusion center role requiring CRNI certification and CA RN license. Details Outpatient oncology infusion center setting Primarily supports non-chemotherapy patient population Duties include phlebotomy, Reclast/Zometa infusions, Zoladex, Lupron, and Faslodex injections, port flushes, iron infusions, occasional hydration treatments, and rare genetic testing/liquid biopsy procedures Iron infusions make up the majority of the workload Day shift, Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM-5:00 PM) No weekend requirement No on-call requirement No floating between like units required, though floating between sister facilities may be expected Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active CA RN license required BLS certification required CRNI certification required Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) and OCN preferred but not required Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Inpatient or outpatient oncology experience highly preferred Experience caring for chemo patients with a range of cancer diagnoses highly preferred Epic EMR experience required Skilled in IV therapy/infusions, port access and management, and starting/maintaining IVs Ability to recognize and manage oncologic emergencies and treatment side effects Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Additional Information Administer IV therapy and infusion treatments to patients with various diagnoses Provide care in an environment supporting a wide range of cancer diagnoses Rare instances may require working beyond scheduled hours if reactions or complications occur during treatment Must confirm agreement to occasional overtime prior to assignment start Parking is paid and located in a garage attached to the building Commute times in the area can be significant during peak hours; candidates should confirm commute feasibility before applying Local candidates accepted, though not required Local radius rule of 50 miles applies for local candidate designation First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel candidate and must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer
