The Palms Home Care is seeking an experienced and dependable Registered Nurse to provide dedicated weekend on-call support for our home health patients throughout the Sarasota and Bradenton areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN looking to earn additional income through a consistent weekend on-call schedule. Position Responsibilities Answer and triage after-hours calls from patients and families. Provide clinical guidance and support by phone when appropriate. Assist patients experiencing complications, particularly urology and postoperative concerns. Determine when an in-person nursing visit is medically necessary. Travel to patients' homes during evenings or weekends when an urgent need cannot be resolved by phone. Communicate patient concerns and interventions to the appropriate clinical team. Complete timely and accurate documentation of all calls and visits. Follow agency policies, physician orders, and established clinical protocols.

Availability Requirements:

Remain available by phone from Friday at 5:00 p.m. through Monday at 8:00 a.m. Evening and weekend availability for in-person visits is required. Be able to respond promptly and travel throughout the Sarasota-Bradenton service area when needed. Candidates located in or near Sarasota or Bradenton are strongly preferred. Qualifications Active and unrestricted Florida RN license. Previous home health, urology, postoperative, or on-call nursing experience preferred. Strong clinical assessment and telephone-triage skills. Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions. Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance. Strong communication, documentation, and patient-service skills. Compensation $250 weekend on-call stipend for covering Friday at 5:00 p.m. through Monday at 8:00 a.m. Additional per-visit compensation for all completed home visits. Mileage reimbursement at $0.67 per mile for required patient visits.
